Azerbaijani Ph.D awarded Queen Victoria Commemorative Diploma and medal
Yagub Mahmudov, director of the Institute of History named after A. Bakikhanov, corresponding member the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Honored Science Worker, has received another award of the International Socrates Committee - the Queen Victoria Commemorative Diploma and medal, AzerTag state news agency reported.
The award giving ceremony took place as part of "Science and education: New trends and opportunities" conference in the city of Oxford, the Great Britain.
The Queen Victoria Commemorative Award is presented to those who have eminent services in development of science and education.
In 2012, the Institute of History named after A. Bakikhanov received the "Best Enterprises - 2012" Diploma, and its director Mahmudov was awarded "The Name in Science" honorary title for his outstanding achievements in science.
