Baku to host NATO-backed event

An international conference on Azerbaijan's integration into Europe
and democratic elections will be held in Baku on June 24-25 with
the support of NATO.
The key goal of the event is to inform the public of the importance of democratic elections in the process of integration into Europe.
Over 100 people will participate in the conference. Azerbaijani officials, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean-Fran?ois Bureau and NATO Public Diplomacy Department's coordinator in South Caucasus Despina Afentouli will speak at the conference to be organized by the Confederation of Azerbaijani Lawyers and the Eurasian Bar Association with financial support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Department and the Turkish embassy in Baku. NATO countries' ambassadors are expected to attend as well.
NATO and the Turkish embassy will allocate 5 million euros each for the conduct of the event.
