Musavat leader confirms he is not seeking re-election
The leader of Azerbaijan’s major opposition party Musavat, Isa Gambar, reiterated Thursday that he will not nominate his candidacy for chairman at the upcoming congress of the party.
But Gambar said that if he did seek a re-election, he would be supported by most of the party’s members.
Gambar added that a potential candidate for the 2013 presidential elections will also be discussed at the 8th congress of Musavat, which the party plans to conduct in the capital Baku soon.
