Azerbaijan, France mull strengthening cybersecurity

Baku hosts a working meeting of experts on cybersecurity in accordance with the plan of bilateral cooperation for 2017, signed between the Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan and France.
The experts noted the importance of strengthening cybersecurity measures in the nation's critical infrastructure, such as government, communications and financial services, transport as well as in other areas, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on April 27.
The experts identified as important areas the issues of cybersecurity, online security and reliability of networks.
The defense ministry noted that the working meeting of specialists will last until April 28.
On the same day, a working meeting of the specialists on chemical, biological and radiological defense took place in the Military Academy of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
The meeting was held in accordance with the plan of bilateral cooperation for 2017 between the Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia.
During the meeting, the specialists discussed the experience gained by the military structures of both states in the sphere of chemical, biological and radiological defense, and noted the importance of conducting scientific meetings in this field.
