Azerbaijan to enjoy Night of Museums

All Azerbaijani museums will participate in the Open Doors Day events on May 18.
The day is held to celebrate the International Museum Day.
Moreover, prior to the Open Doors Day, museums of the country will organize various activities, including "Night of Museums" and some events planned by the Ministry of Culture and Communication of France.
The Azerbaijan National Art Museum will hold a ceremony with the participation of officials of museums and museum reserves of Baku and regions on May 16.
The first issue of the newsletter "Azerbaijani Museums" will be distributed among the participants. They will also be gifted with souvenirs.
The event will be also characterized by the performance of the ancient musical instruments band of the Azerbaijan State Museum of Musical Culture.
Furthermore, winners of a photography contest "The Art of Azerbaijan through the eyes of photographer" will be awarded at the ceremony. The contest was held with the support of "British Petrolium".
On May 17, the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex Gala will host an event to be attended by officials from museums of Baku and other regions.
The event will include exhibitions displaying items from different museums as part of "Night of Museums".
During the day, museums of the country will be open until 01:00 a.m.
