Rise seen in prices for industrial products

The producer price index for industrial production in Azerbaijan rose by 3.3 percent in September, as compared to August, Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee reported.
For the specified period, producer prices in extractive industry rose by 3.4 percent and in manufacturing industry - by 2.5 percent.
In September, producer prices for oil and gas production increased by 3.5 percent and metal ore mining industry - by 2.4 percent.
In the manufacturing sector, producer prices in metallurgical industry rose by 9.7 percent, by 3.3 percent in refining industry, by 2.7 percent in tobacco production, by 1.9 percent in production of construction materials, by 0.8 percent in beverage manufacturing, by 0.5 percent in food industry and production of printed materials, by 0.4 percent in apparel manufacturing, by 0.2 percent in the weaving industry and electrical equipment manufacturing, by 0.1 percent in the chemical industry.
Prices in pulp production decreased by 0.1 percent.
Producer prices in other industries of manufacturing sector have not changed.
