New labor minister appointed in Iran

Iranian Parliament has approved Ashadollah Abbasi as the new head of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of Iran, Mehr news agency reported on Sunday.
According to the report, 200 members of the parliament voted in favor, while 40 of them voted against him and 12 MPs abstained.
On Feb. 3, Iranian parliament voted to dismiss Labor Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami over his decision to appoint Saeed Mortazavi, a former prosecutor accused of links to the deaths of prisoners, to a new position.
