Azerbaijan, Brasil discuss tourism ties

There is wide potential for cooperation in the sphere of tourism between Azerbaijan and Brazil.
Elnur Sultanov, Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Brazil made the remark at the meeting with Vinicius Lages, Brazilian Minister of Tourism.
The diplomat briefed the Brazilian minister on the state policy
in the field of tourism, the country`s achievements, as well as
international tourism events held in Azerbaijan.
Lages highlighted the work done in the field of tourism in Brazil,
and noted that his country attached great importance to cooperation
with Azerbaijan. He said the two countries enjoyed cooperation
opportunities in the sphere of tourism.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on prospects of
bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.
Sultanov presented material reflecting the tourism opportunities of
the country in Azerbaijani and Portuguese languages to the
Brazilian minister.
Brazil recognized the independence of Azerbaijan on December 26, 1991. The diplomatic relations between the two countries were founded on October 23, 1993.
In 2009 the embassy of the Brazil was established in Azerbaijan. In 2012, the embassy of Azerbaijan was established in Brazil.
