The competitions in Baku’s National Gymnastics Arena are held at the highest level, coach of Kazakhstan’s national team Diana Suzdikova told Trend on the sidelines of the 4th Open Azerbaijan and Baku Aerobic Gymnastics Championships.
“The competitions in Baku have been organized at the highest level,” Suzdikova said. “This is a great motivation for gymnasts to train and achieve great results. All conditions have been created in the National Gymnastics Arena. I was also an athlete and I can say that the competitions have been organized very well. There is a good training area, a wonderful arena and very friendly staff."
"I think that the Kazakh gymnasts performed well,” she said. “I thought that they would worry and forget the program. But I am pleased with their performance.”
The 4th Open Azerbaijan and Baku Aerobic Gymnastics Championships kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on Oct. 6.
On the first day of the competitions, gymnasts are performing in individual programs in four age categories (gymnasts born in 2011-2010, 2009-2007, 2006-2004 and 2003-2001), as well as in trios in three age categories (gymnasts born in 2011-2010, 2009-2007 and 2006-2004).
Gymnasts from Azerbaijan (represented by “Ojag Sport” and “AyUlduz” clubs), Russia and Bulgaria are taking part in the competitions. The championship will for the first time see performances of gymnasts from Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
Final performances will be held Oct. 7.
