SCO chief to hold talks in Uzbekistan
Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Dmitry Mezentsev will arrive in Tashkent on Thursday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Mezentsev's schedule includes meetings at the Foreign Ministry and other government bodies.
He will take part in events within the organisation's Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.
The SCO was founded in Shanghai on June 15, 2001 and currently has six full members -- China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Mongolia, Iran, Pakistan and India are the four observer states and its dialogue partners include Belarus and Sri Lanka.
