Two released after PKK kidnapping in Turkey

The militant Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has claimed responsibility for kidnapping 13 people in Turkey`s Igdir province late on Monday, including two residents of Azerbaijan`s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The kidnapped people worked in the same construction site, officials said. PKK militants are said to have burned their car.

Shortly after the kidnapping, the two Azerbaijani citizens and one Igdir resident were released, while the remaining 10 people were taken to an undisclosed location.
