TURKPA chairmanship passes from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey
The chairmanship of TURKPA will pass from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey at the fourth meeting of the TURKPA Council on June 10, the organisation's secretariat reported.
The speakers of the four member countries will deliver speeches at the meeting. They are chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oktay Asadov, Speaker of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin, chairman of the Kyrgyz parliament Asilbek Jeenbekov, chairman of the Turkish Parliament Cemil Cicek and the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries Ramil Hasanov.
The meeting will adopt the agenda of the TURKPA fourth plenary session, provide information on the performance during the presidency of Kyrgyzstan, present the annual report of activities for 2012 and the budget plan for 2014, as well as approve the nomination of the new TURKPA Secretary General and his deputies.
The parties will also discuss the Ankara Declaration and determine the date and venue for the fifth TURKPA plenary session.
