UK, Azerbaijan eye issues of mutual interest
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the members of the Azerbaijan All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in the UK Parliament on Sept.3, the European Azerbaijan Society reported.
According to the report, Conservative MP Christopher Pincher, Chairman of the Azerbaijan APPG and member of the Energy and Climate Change Committee chaired the meeting. Other MPs in attendance were MPs Angus MacNeil, David Burrowes and others.
The topics raised included UK investment in Azerbaijan, energy security, the growth of the non-energy sectors in the Azerbaijani economy, anti-corruption measures and religious freedom.
