Azerbaijani president receives German deputy foreign minister
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met a delegation led by German Deputy Foreign Minister Cornelia Pieper on Tuesday.
Ms. Pieper said that Germany always supports Azerbaijan after the country regained its independence.
The German official said that this was her first visit to Azerbaijan praising the establishment of the German-Azerbaijan chamber of commerce.
She highly appreciated the opening of the chamber in the region for the first time in Azerbaijan.
President Aliyev noted that the establishment of the chamber was a good indicator of the cooperation between the two countries.
The president underlined the significance of the trade chamber from the point of view of joint activity of Azerbaijani and German businessmen and implementation of projects.
Aliyev said that the chamber would operate successfully.
The sides also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of industry, energy, investment, education, tourism, etc.
