Azerbaijan ups power generation
The power plants of Azerenerji JSC generated 6.3 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in Jan.-March 2015, compared to 6.2 billion kilowatt hours in the same period of 2014.
Azerenerji JSC is the main producer of electricity in Azerbaijan.
The power plants of the company generated 2.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in March 2015, compared to 2 billion kilowatt hours in the same period of 2014, the company reported.
Azerenerji JSC produced around 22.7 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in 2014, compared to over 21.5 billion kilowatt hours in 2013.
The generation capacity of Azerbaijan's power supply system has increased by 30 percent over the last five years. Currently, its capacity is 7,105 megawatt. This allows to generate around 24 billion kilowatt hours of electricity and export 2.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually.
