The Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry established a new production enterprise in Beylagan region of the country.
The enterprise passed the state registration through the Taxes Ministry’s ‘a single window’ system, the Vergiler newspaper reported on August 31.
The Beylagan agricultural production enterprise Ltd was created on the basis of the state production enterprises “Khatai” and “Dostlug”.
Appeals over the credit debts of both enterprises, as well as debts of legal entities and individuals, is required to be submitted within two months to the Liquidation Commission under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry.
Overall, production growth in the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan in 2016 is forecasted at the level of at least six percent.
The agricultural production volume in actual prices amounted to 2.5 billion manat in Azerbaijan in January-June 2016 or by 3.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2015.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee’s report, during this period the livestock production increased by 3.8 percent, crop production - by 2.4 percent.
Development of non-oil sector such as agriculture remains a top priority for the country. The government supports the development of agriculture at the state level, ensures all necessary brand-new equipment, implements various agricultural projects in an effort to bolster domestic production and expand the range of the goods to enter the foreign markets.
