Azerbaijan Automobile Federation becomes FIA’s mobility member
Azerbaijan was elected a member of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) in the area of mobility on December 4.
Paris is hosting the annual meeting of General Assembly of the FIA, which is being attended by Azerbaijan Automobile Federation’s Chairman Anar Alakbarov and the federation’s other representatives.
From now on, Azerbaijan Automobile Federation – a member of the FIA – will implement international projects in road safety and automobile tourism.
The mobility combines all the topics related to the automotive sector. These include such important areas as safety, environment, tourism and others.
Mobility policy’s main objective is to ensure a high level of safety of traffic participants.
During the FIA General Assembly’s meeting in Paris, Azerbaijan’s Automobile Federation – the organizer the ‘Formula 1’ in Baku – had a number of meetings on preparation for this competition to be held the next year.
Baku will host the European Grand Prix auto race, which is among the greatest sporting events in the world, along with the World Cup and the Olympic Games, on June 19, 2016.
At present, Baku Grand Prix, the organizer of the European Grand Prix in Baku, holds construction and repair work at the central streets of the capital.
Baku has deep experiences in hosting international motor racing and has also hosted the inaugural European Games this summer.
