Taekwondo fighters to vie for European medals
Young Azerbaijani taekwondo fighters compete in the European Championship started in Chisinau, Moldova on Wednesday.
Azerbaijan`s squad includes Mikayil Aliyev weighing in at 54 kg, Majid Sofiyev at 58 kg, Sabuhi Ismayilzade at 63 kg, Huseyn Mehraliyev at 68 kg, Said Guliyev at 74 kg, Ramin Abdullayev at 80 kg, Jeyhun Hasanli at 87 kg and Aydin Bakhmalov at 87 kg.
In the women`s event, Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Tarana Mammadova weighing in at 46 kg, Patimat Abakarova at 49 kg, Aytan Samadli at 62 kg, Farida Azizova at 67 kg and Marina Tedeeva at 73 kg.
