Uzbekistan, Georgia hold political talks
Uzbekistan and Georgia have discussed the current status, as well as promising areas of future cooperation, during a recent round of political consultations, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry reported
During the meetings, held November 3-4 in Tbilisi with participation of the foreign ministry delegations from the two countries, participants discussed the development of relations in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Georgia is one of Uzbekistan’s important foreign trade partners. The basic document regulating relations between the two countries is the agreement on friendship and cooperation signed in 1995.
Bilateral trade and economic relations are regulated by the joint Uzbek-Georgian intergovernmental commission.
The trade turnover between the two countries stood at $205 million as of 2014.
