Tbilisi condemns terrorist attack in Russia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed his condolences to the Russian people in connection with loss of lives as a result of terror act in Volgograd on December 29.

"I express my deep condolences and concern over the terror act in Volgograd train station, which killed innocent people. I express my condolences to the Russian people over this terrible tragedy," Garibashvili said.

Garibashvili also condemned terrorist attack.

"The Georgian government condemns terrorism which doesn't have any nationality and borders and is ready to fight against terrorism as the most dangerous phenomenon of the 21st century with the progressive world," he said.

A suicide attack on a train station in Russia's southern city of Volgograd has killed 17 people, officials say. Volgograd has faced second terrorist attack on December 30, which killed at least 28 passengers and injured 23 people on a trolley bus.
