Iran sees rise in exports via Gilan Province customs
During the first four months of current solar year (started on March 21), the export of non-oil products via Iran's Gilan Province customs increased by 29 percent compared to the same period last year, Supervisor of Gilan customs administrations, Parviz Taghavi said
Taghavi said that in total, 61,000 tons of goods worth $172.432
million have been exported through Astara, Anzali and Hasanroud
customs to 16 countries during this period, ISNA news agency
reported.
He went on to note that the mentioned statistics indicate 29
percent in weight and 64 percent in value increase, compared to the
first four months of last solar year.
Russia, Azerbaijan and Iraq in total respectively shared 59, 30,
and 5 percent of Iran's exported goods value via the Gilan customs
in this period.
According to the report, Iran also has imported 520,000 tons of
goods worth $389.924 million through Gilan province's customs
mainly from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and
Austria.
This has shown an increase of 36 percent in weight and 61 percent
in value, compared to the same period last year.
