Read moreOn August 27–29, Azerbaijan will host the U17 Beach Wrestling World Championships and the fourth stage of the senior Beach Wrestling World Series for the first time, AzerNEWS reports.
Both competitions will be held at the Sea Breeze resort.
The U17 Beach Wrestling World Championships, scheduled for August 27, will bring together nearly 150 young wrestlers from 34 countries, who will compete for medals.
In the boys' categories, champions will be determined in the 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg and 90 kg weight classes, while the girls will compete in the 45 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg and 75 kg categories.
The fourth stage of the senior Beach Wrestling World Series will take place on August 28–29. More than 60 athletes will compete in the event.
The men's categories will be 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg and +90 kg, while the women will compete in 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg and +70 kg.
In total, more than 200 athletes from 34 countries will compete for success on the shores of the Caspian Sea.
