Iranian FM says recent elections to promote Tehran-West ties
Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Ali-Akbar Salehi said that the recent elections in Iran will promote the ties between Tehran and the West, ISNA news agency reported.
In an interview with Al-Mayadin News Network, he said that regional crises will not be resolved without the participation of Iran.
Regarding some allegations about the interference of Iran in Bahrain's internal affairs, Salehi said that such measures will have no benefit (for Iran).
He expressed Iran's readiness to cooperate with Saudi Arabia to resolve crises in the region.
He also revealed indirect messages of the U.S. for restoring ties with Iran.
Iran's eleventh presidential elections were held on June 14. On June 15, Reformist candidate Hassan Rohani was officially named as Iran's next president with 50.7 per cent of the votes.
