Turkey to build warship for Pakistan
Turkey won a tender announced earlier by Pakistani Naval Forces for construction of a warship, the Hurriyet newspaper reported.
Turkish company producing defense-related equipment Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik (STM) signed an agreement with Pakistani Defense Ministry on Tuesday. Under the agreement, the warship will be constructed at a shipyard in Karachi, and all of the parts of the ship will be manufactured in Turkey.
It is reported that the agreement also covers training of ship personnel and its testing. Cost of the agreement and date of starting the construction of the ship has not been announced yet.
