First int'l yacht show to open in Baku

Seaside city Baku will host the first international boat show on May 15-17.
"Caspian International Boat and Yacht Show 2014" will display a full range of watercrafts and products for active recreation for Azerbaijan's consumers.
The event will bring together the most vibrant names in boating industry and will help to develop Azerbaijan's boating market and promote it in the run-up to summer, and display the latest achievements in motorboat equipment.
The exhibition will also provide information on the preparations for the upcoming boating season. "CIBS 2014" will be an important platform for communications, providing an exclusive opportunity to study the market and strengthen partnerships with those in the motorboat industry.
"CIBS 2014" will be held jointly with the eighth Baku International Motor Show "BIMS 2014".
Azerbaijan is a country with profound sailing traditions, which are developing today.
The Azerbaijan Sailing Federation was founded in 2000, and the first Azerbaijani team took part in an international sailing regatta in 2002.
Baku has had a Yacht Club, the only one of its kind on the Caspian, since 2002.
