Azerbaijani official meets Croatian deputy foreign minister

Azerbaijan`s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov has
received a Croatian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign
and European Affairs Joško Klisović, AzerTac state news agency
reported.
During the meeting, they hailed the bilateral relations between
Azerbaijan and Croatia as rapidly developing.
Khalafov said that the high level political dialogue between the
two countries provides opportunities for further expansion of
cooperation in other fields.
Khalafov noted there was a wide potential for cooperation in the
fields of mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, telecommunications,
tourism and agriculture.
Giving detailed information to the Croatian delegation about the
Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Deputy FM noted
that Armenia's non-constructive position impedes the settlement of
the conflict and poses a threat to the region.
Touching upon the recent provocative steps and statements of
Armenia to re-open Khojaly airport, Khalafov underlined the
necessity of increasing pressure on Armenia by international
community, in particular the European Union.
Joško Klisović said that his country sees Azerbaijan as a strategic
partner and is interested in developing cooperation in all
fields.
