Azerbaijani teenagers have taken part in Giffoni International Film Festival in Italy as jury members.

The festival, which is widely known all over the world, has been held for 49 years in a row. Every year more than 3,000 children from 60 countries participate in this project.

This year the country was represented by Khalil Akhundov, Murad Agayev, Aysu Adilzade, Sanay Gahramanli and Riad Salayev, Trend Life reported.

For 10 days, the festival participants were given a unique opportunity to watch and discuss world cinema works, meet with famous Hollywood stars Woody Harellson, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Elle Faning, Evan Peters, Amber Heard and take part in numerous entertainment events.

Giffoni International Film Festival has a history of half a century and is a unique festival where the judges consist of children from various countries.

By the number of countries and participants, the festival can be compared with the Olympic Games. During the festival, they have the opportunity to discuss the films they watch with their peers and identify the winner of the contest, talk with actors, filmmakers and most importantly, make friends from different countries.

The Azerbaijani teenagers also got acquainted with the Italian participants of the Salam International Youth Film Festival, which will be held in Baku on September 2-5.

The Italian participants of the festival Noemi Ferrara, Jennifer Notari, Gaia Pulignano, Guiseppe Sciancallepore and Antonio Piemonte were pleased with this meeting and said that they are looking forward to coming to Baku.

Narimanfilm company has been organizing trips for Azerbaijani teenagers to the Giffoni Festival since 2014. However, this time Narimanfilm also receives in Baku adolescent participants of the Salam Festival from many countries, including Italy.

This testifies to the fact that the ties of the Salam Festival are expanding and the friendly relations between teenagers from different countries are getting stronger.
