Food industry holding to appear in Uzbekistan
The Uzbek Food Industry Holding will be established in Uzbekistan in accordance with Uzbek President Islam Karimov’s decree.
The holding is being established on the basis of the Association of Food Industry Enterprises of Uzbekistan which is being abolished. It will include 176 enterprises for the production of food, oil and fat, meat and dairy products.
As associate members, private enterprises, producing food products, may voluntarily join the Uzbek Food Industry Holding, the decree says.
A fund of the development, reconstruction and modernization of the food industry enterprises will be also established under the holding.
