The U.S. will continue its strong support of Georgia's Euro-Atlantic trajectory, President Barack Obama's congratulation letter on the anniversary of Georgia's independence says.
Georgia marks the Day of Independence on May 26.
"We remain deeply committed to supporting Georgia's democratic and economic development, which is essential to its Euro-Atlantic integration," Obama said in his letter.
Obama further stressed that reforms in Georgia will continue to provide additional space to deepen bilateral cooperation on defense and security, trade and investment, and people-to-people contacts.
"The U.S. will continue its support to Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders," the letter further noted.
