Election campaign ends in Iran

The election campaign for presidential candidates In Iran ended on June 12.

Supporters of presidential candidate Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Hassan Rouhani, Mohsen Rezaei, Saeed Jalili and Ali Akbar Velayati held street rallies on the squares Veliasr, Ingilab, Vanak and other areas of Tehran.

Supporters of each candidate used bandages and a cloth of purple, blue and white colors, which are colors of attribute of presidential candidates.

During the street rallies supporters carried pictures of candidates, called on the people to vote for their candidate, CDs, sweets and natural juices were handed out.

Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14.

The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.

The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election.
