The awards ceremony "Fotokadr 2018", established by Gilavar Photo Club was held at the National Olympic Committee.

At the opening, co-chairman of the club Dilyavar Najafov, noted that the project aims at the development of photo art in the country, promotion of young and talented photographers, etc.

The co-chairman of the club, a photographer of international class Rashad Mehdiyev spoke about the successes achieved over the past year, Trend Life reported.

With the assistance of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and the American Photographic Society (PSA), exhibitions and competitions "Azerbaijan Photo Salon", "Baku 2018"and "Autumn Circuit 2018" were successfully held.

The projects brought together more than a thousand representatives from 60 countries.

Over 17,000 photos were presented as part of the events.

Thanks to the assistance of the club, Azerbaijani photographers took part in international projects and were awarded more than fifty awards. At the 13th FIAP Clubs World Cup in Italy, "Gilavar" took 82nd place.

Among the recipients of the Fotokadr 2018 award and honorary diplomas are the photographers Ilgar Jafarov, Karim Abbasov, Orkhan Azimov, Ramil Zeynalov, Rustam Maharramov, Shahin Sardarov, Dilyavar Najafov, Rashad Mehdiyev, Nadezhda Javadova and Kelvin Gasimov.

The president of the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation, MP Adil Aliyev and the doctor of philosophy in art history, famous designer Gulnara Khalilova and others were noted for their public support.

Guests were presented with video materials about the success of Azerbaijani photographers in international projects.
