YARAT Contemporary Art Space will host the next event within the framework of the project " Through eyes of artists" on September 28.
The art event will be dedicated to the creativity of prominent representative of Azerbaijan painting school Boyukagha Mirzazade.
The artist's daughter, art critic Ofeliya Mirzazade will speak about the life and creativity of the artist, his pedagogical activity,diverse themes and genres.
At the meeting, which will be held in a dialogue format, the guests will be told about the great moments of Boyukagha Mirzazade's life and creativity.
The event participants will also be able to get acquainted with the works of the great portrait master.
It should be noted that Boyukagha worked in different genres. The artist's works are kept in museums and galleries of many foreign countries, as well as in private collections.
YARAT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011.
It realizes its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
YARAT comprises YARAT Art Centre, ARTIM Project Space, YARAT Studios, YAY Gallery and an extended educational and public programme.
