The City of Winds amazes the citizens of the capital and its guests by its architecture, which saves the national peculiarities.
Fantastic parks and alleys, wide avenues, majestic buildings are today the essential attributes of Azerbaijani capital.
But how much do we know about old Baku? Each of us probably thought about how it all began.
Baku Metro has launched an exhibition of historical pictures of Baku as part of "Metro Gallery" project.
Art lovers can enjoy city's beautiful corners at Nariman Narimanov metro station, Trend reported.
The project, organized on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Baku Metro aims to revive Baku city's history with its unique atmosphere.
The following photos shows how the City of Winds has changed over a century. The exhibition displays more than 90 photographs covering the beginning of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
An exhibition dedicated to ancient Baku will last for 6 months. The exhibitors also have the opportunity to receive virtual information about the published photos. For this purpose, it is possible enjoy any photo and information in the electronic gallery on the official website of the Baku Metro via "QR-code", on the walls of the station.
Notably, Baku Metro launched an exhibition of amateurs and professional artists as part of "Metro Gallery" project in 2016.
