Azerbaijan implements new standard for household washing and drying machines

The standard defines the testing methods for household washing and drying machines, specifically those that combine both washing and drying functions. It sets out detailed procedures for evaluating the performance of these multi-functional appliances, which have become increasingly popular in homes.
According to AZSTAND, the introduction of this standard is expected to bring significant improvements in the energy consumption of household washing and drying equipment. It will also help reduce operational costs and make these appliances more affordable and competitive in the market.
The new national standard was discussed and approved by the Technical Committee on Electrical Energy and Renewable Energy (AZSTAND/TK 46), and has now been included in the State Fund of Standardization Normative Documents.
This initiative is part of Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to ensure the quality and energy efficiency of consumer goods, while also aligning with international standards for energy consumption and sustainability.
