Lithuanian society to familiarize with Baku 2015
A press conference on informing the Lithuanian society about the Baku 2015 First European Games will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The relevant agreement was reached at a meeting between Hasan
Mammadzade, Azerbaijan`s Ambassador and Daina Gudzineviciute,
President of the National Olympic Committee of Lithuania,AzerTag
state news agency reported.
The sides exchanged views about the First European Games to be held
in Baku on June 12-28.
Mammadzade said President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban
Aliyeva attached great importance to the excellent organization of
the Baku 2015 First European Games.
Gudzineviciute, in turn, said Lithuanian athletes would compete in
the European Games.
The biggest sporting event in Azerbaijan's history, the Baku 2015 European Games will attract more than 6,000 athletes to represent 50 countries in 20 sports during 17 days of competition.
The games will take place in 21 stadia and facilities in Baku and Mingachevir city.
