Azerbaijani paralympic athletes win 10 medals in Dubai

Azerbaijani Paralympic athletes won two gold, five silver, and three bronze medals in the sixth International Athletics Competitions, which was held on February 20-26 in Dubai, the UAE.
Elchin Muradov (running at 200 m) and Olokhan Musayev (discus throwing) were the most successful to win gold medals, while silver medals went to discus throwing athlete Solmaz Safarova, shot putters Rufat Rafiev and Elvin Astanov, Elchin Muradov running at 400 m, and Elvin Astanov for javelin.
Samir Nabiyev (shot put and discus) and Manzara Ahmadova (javelin) became bronze winners.
Azerbaijani Paralympic athletes are achieving more success year by year. They are currently taking part in 10 sports competitions.
The first Children's Paralympic Committee in the world was established in Azerbaijan in September 2013.
