Azerbaijani boxers compete at European championship
Three Azerbaijani boxers have successfully launched their campaign to win medals at the European Youth championship in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Boxers Munasib Mammadov weighing in at 49kg, Nabi Bagirov at 75kg, and Mahammadali Tahirov at super heavyweight defeated Belarus Anton Nakhnakov, Danish Mike Stefansen, and Romanian Aurelia Turcanu respectively.
Mammadov will next face Georgian David Nanava, Bagirov will clash with Romanian Mihai Adrian, while Tahirov will lock horns with Ukrainian Vladislav Sirenko.
