Azerbaijani judoka wins Zagreb Grand Prix

Azerbaijani judo fighter Rustam Orujov has won a Grand Prix tournament held in the Zagreb, Croatia.
In the under 73kg final, he took on Swedish judoka Tommy Macias, and gained a brilliant victory.
On his way to gold in the 73kg weight category he also defeated Croatian, Italian, Japanese and Brazilian fighters, Azertac reported.
"After the world championships, I was a bit disappointed with my performance, that’s why I came here, for the gold medal. My preparation was good and I’m really happy to come away with the gold!," Orujov told reporters.
Rustam Orujov won Olympic silver in Rio and became World Championships silver medalist in 2017 in Budapest.
In 2016 he was European champion.
The 25 year old judoka won the Grand Prix in Havana in 2016, Grand Prix in Baku (2012), Grand Slam Baku in 2013 and Grand Prix Tbilisi and Samsun, both in 2015.
In 2015 he won silver in Paris, Düsseldorf and Abu Dhabi in 2016. He won a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2017.
