Kazakhstan records fall in money transfers

The money transferred by physical entities decreased in Kazakhstan in January-September 2015, the National Bank of Kazakhstan reported on March 2.

The money transferred from Kazakhstan decreased up to $1.114 billion compared to $1.248 billion in the same period of 2014. The money transferred from other countries to Kazakhstan reduced up to $136.3 million compared to $164.7 million in the same period of 2014.

The main share of money transfer in Kazakhstan accounts for the CIS countries. The money transferred from Kazakhstan to the CIS countries increased up to $739.7 million in January-September 2015 compared to $690.7 million in the same period of 2014. The money transferred to Russia amounted to $492.4 million compared to $415.8 million in the same period of 2014, the money transferred to Uzbekistan - $132.1 million compared to $148.1 million in the same period of 2014, the money transferred to Kyrgyzstan - $48.8 million compared to $52.8 million in the same period of 2014.

The money transferred from the CIS countries to Kazakhstan in the reporting period amounted to $136.3 million compared to $164.7 million in the same period of 2014. The main share of money transfer from the CIS countries accounted for Russia in the amount of $50.8 million compared to $ 80.3 million in January-September 2014.

Turkey and China hold leading positions in money transfer from Kazakhstan to other countries in January-September 2015. Some $146.6 million accounted for Turkey compared to $200.8 million in the same period of 2014 and $122.4 million accounted for China compared to $182.4 million in the same period of 2014.

The US and Germany hold leading positions in money transfer from other countries to Kazakhstan. Some $20.3 million accounted for the US compared to $15.7 million in the same period of 2014 and $11.8 million accounted for Germany compared to $12.7 million in the same period of 2014.
