Iran to open sea passenger port

Iran's Ports and Maritime Organisation (PMO) official Ali Estiri said that the country's biggest sea passenger port will be inaugurated next month.

The Shahid Haghani Passenger Port is located in Iran's southern Hormozgan Province. The project has been implemented over a 3800 square metre area and includes 2.5 floors, the Mehr news agency reported.

The port includes ticketing centres, halls, waiting rooms, restaurants, coffee shops and a rest centre.

Some $4 million has been spent on the project. According to the report, more than 98 per cent of Iran's cruises are realised through Hormozgan province's ports.
