Two presidential hopefulls’ supporters fight in Iran

A scuffle broke out between the supporters of presidential candidates from the conservative camp Saeed Jalili and Mohsen Rezai last night, Asriran.com website reported.

According to the report, Jalili's supporters who got together in Imam Khomeini Square in Bushehr held a procession towards a square where Rezai's supporters were and a scuffle between them began. The scuffle which started at 22.00 local time took until 01.30 to be contained by police.

There are no reports of casualties caused by the incident.

The former Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Mohsen Rezai and secretary of the Highest National Security Council, the Council's Adviser to the Supreme Leader Saeed Jalili nominated themselves for the presidential elections from the conservative camp.

The presidential elections in Iran are scheduled for June 14.
