U.S. secretary of state to visit Georgia
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry accepted the invitation of the Georgian Foreign Minister to visit the country on an official visit, Minister Maia Panjikidze said following her meeting with John Kerry in Brussels within NATO ministerial.
"I invited him to visit our country, and he accepted the invitation," she said.
Panjikidze said that during the meeting Kerry "stressed U.S. support for Georgia's territorial integrity and European integration".
According to her, he also thanked Georgia for its contribution to the mission in Afghanistan.
"John Kerry also inquired about the processes ongoing in
Georgia. He was also interested with the progress achieved in terms
of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The Secretary of State
hailed our achievements. We talked about the issues of cooperation
within the signed Charter," Panjikidze said.
The parties also discussed the process of Euro-Atlantic integration
of Georgia.
