Turkish president signs amnesty decree for 15.400 convicts
Turkish President Abdullah Gul has recently signed an amnesty decree, which covers 15.400 convicts, Trend news agency reported on Friday referring to CNN Turk TV channel.
Some 400 of the amnestied prisoners are seriously ill.
Prisoners will be released within a week. The decree applies to prisoners of six Turkish provinces.
