Kazakh FM: Disagreement between Caspian littoral states may be resolved soon

All disagreements between the Caspian littoral states may be resolved through negotiations in the near future, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov said at the opening of the 30th meeting of the Special Working Group on the development of the Convention on legal status of the Caspian Sea in Astana, Kazakh Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"Results of the Third Caspian Summit held in Baku once again demonstrated that there is no disagreement between the Caspian littoral states that can not be resolved through negotiation in the near future," Kazykhanov said.

According to Kazykhanov, development of a common position is possible, and signing of the Convention on the Status of the Caspian Sea in the near future is quite real.

According to Kazykhanov, Caspian problem is complex, and its solution will enhance the prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation of the Caspian littoral countries on the most important fields of economy.
