CE rights commissioner: No investigation into March 2008 events in Armenia
YEREVAN – No investigation in connection with the killings of dozens of people during March 2008 post-election violence in Armenia has been carried out, the Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg said at the PACE session on Wednesday.
"We keep this issue at the focus of attention. We also pay particular attention to the freedom of speech in Armenia. A report concerning Armenia most likely will be read at the October session of the PACE", Hammarberg said.
