‘Three Azeris injured’ in Russia bomb blast
The recent bomb blast in the southern Russian city of Stavropol has
injured three Azerbaijanis, the all-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress’
local representative, Fakhraddin Yariyev, told the Baku-based ANS
TV channel. Two of them are in satisfactory condition, while the
other – an 18-year-old – is in a critical condition.
The explosion, which rocked around the House of Culture in the city center on Thursday, claimed seven lives and over 40 people were injured.
The bomb, equivalent to 400 grams of TNT, was disguised as a pack of juice.
Russia said investigators had opened a criminal case under terrorism laws after the blast in the ethnically Russian Stavropol region, which borders the violence-racked republics of the North Caucasus, according to Reuters.*
