Iran exports $4.165b goods to Iraq in first six months

Head of joint chamber of Iran-Iraq Yahiya Al-Eshaq said Iran exported 4.165 billion dollars worth of goods to Iraq in the first six months of the year, which indicated 31 percent growth in comparison with the same period of the preceding year, IRNA reports.
He made the remarks in Iran-Iraq trade conference and added that
export to Iraq was 3.1billion dollars in the first six months of
last year.
Al-Eshaq said in economic cooperation between the two countries
joint venture projects are more important than export.
He added that now is the best situation for developing bilateral
relations in the field of joint venture.
Iran-Iraq trade meeting held in the presence of Head of Iraqi
Chambers of commerce federation Jaafar al-Rasoul al-Hamdani and
Head of Iraq-Iran joint chamber Fazel al-Hamdani.
According to statistics published by Trade Promotion Organization
of Iran (TPO) trade exchange volume between the two countries were
6.502 billion dollars last year, which 77 million dollars was Iraqi
export to Iran and the rest of the amount was Iran's export to
Iraq.
The most important exporting items to Iraq were parts and spares of
steam turbines, cheese, ice-cream, home appliances, coolers,
plastic products and kitchen ware.
