Schools in Kyrgyzstan will transfer to five-day academic week

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law On Amending the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic On Education, Kabar with reference to the press service of the President's Office reported.
The law was passed by Parliament on Jan. 10, 2018.
The law was adopted with a purpose of switching schools from six days to a five-day academic week.
In particular, Article 16 is supplemented with part 10 of following content: "Taking into account the permissible burden in state and municipal general education organizations, a five-day academic week is established."
The law enters into force in ten days after the day of its official publication.
