Samsung Engineering inks deals worth over $550M with Uzbekistan

JSC "Uzkimyosanoat", the major chemical company in Uzbekistan, and South Korean Samsung Engineering signed an agreement on the implementation of four projects for a total of $556 million.
This was announced by the press center covering the visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea on November 22.
The parties agreed to implement the project on "Modernization of ammonia and carbamide production facilities at Ferghanaazot JSC worth $91 million.
The project on "Modernization of the production of ammonium nitrate AC 72M and non-concentrated nitric acid AK 72M at JSC" Ferganaazot" will also be implemented. The cost of the project is $15 million.
The two will also implement projects on "Organization of ammonia production" in Almalyk with a capacity of 300,000 tons a year and "Organization of carbamide production" in Almalyk with a capacity of 350,000 thousand tons a year worth $ 300 million and $150 million, respectively.
To implement the projects, funds in the amount of $ 321 million will be barrowed.
