By Trend
One police officer was martyred and 10 people were wounded in a PKK terrorist attack late Saturday in the eastern Bingol province, Anadolu reported.
PKK terrorists detonated a bomb-laden vehicle as a police vehicle carrying officers passed a crossway to the entrance of Bingol, according to the security sources who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
All of the injured, including six police, sustained non-life-threatening wounds and have been taken to local hospitals, the sources said.
An operation has been launched to apprehend the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, PKK terrorists were neutralized Saturday in the eastern province of Tunceli, the governorate there said.
Security forces neutralized seven terrorists, including three women in an operation backed with Turkish air jets, according to a statement.
The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015. Since then, PKK terrorist attacks martyred more than 700 security personnel and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, while nearly 8,000 PKK terrorists were killed in army operations.
